Although written with the electric fork lift truck user in mind, much of the information in this book applies to batteries in general and will be helpful to anyone interested in learning about them. It shows how to minimize energy costs by correctly selecting batteries, properly charging them, and avoiding damage through over-discharge. There are explanations of efficiency, Ohm's law, current and amperes, the Volt, the Watt, the Kilowatt-Hour, the Ampere=Hour, battery capacity and end point voltage (final charge voltage). It also provides a description of how lead acid batteries are made and how they work.
